Coming in 2010!!! Tina Jefferies is writing a series of leadership development articles for Early Years Educator(EYE) magazine, from August'10. In May'10, Tina spoke at the Leicester City Early Years Conference, running leadership workshops on 'Making A Difference to Leicester's children' -March'10, Tina was invited to facilitate another series of successful Employer Engagement seminars for the early years sector across Staffordshire. During 2009 We became partners in a successful bid for a west midlands regional development project with transnational partners. Throughout October'09, Tina facilitated a successful series of Employer Engagement seminars for the early years sector across Staffordshire. What happened in 2008Simply Red Space - two-day 'Step Back' events were held during the year. These days enable people with senior responsibilities in the workplace to take guided time-out in an inspiringly resourced venue to reflect, review and realign with support from an executive coach. To preserve the peace and exclusivity of the days, numbers are limited to six people, so advanced requests for individual and team booking is highly recommended. Contact us The Red Factor (young people) - launch of our brand new professional development workshop for staff working with disengaged young people and related services. The workshop includes a high impact theatrical performance and strategies to build positive communications and engagement with young people and understanding of the social and emotional challenges that face young people when they re-engage with learning environments. Factor Me Pilot Project, February 2008 - in February we delivered a brand new programme for Connexions Herefordshire, who asked us to design a new PAYP programme for young people. Using both theatrical scenario and individual coaching we creatively engaged the young people in reviewing and re-aligning their life situations, choices, experiences and goals. "I would like to do something like Factor Me again. It helped me find different ways of making decisions and know what I want to do in the future." E, Factor Me programme Factor Red (Changes) - we will be expanding the availability of this programme for adults and young people through our new foundation. Keep a look out for more news... " This has to be the best course I have ever been on. It has helped me gain confidence in myself" S, Factor Red Changes programme. BILLY - our star character, featured in the theatrical scenarios for both the Factor Me and Factor Red programmes, is getting quite a following. His personal development story can now be followed from before leaving school to getting work. Many of the young people who have taken part in our programmes have come to really relate to his challenges , and have even coached him with some very good advice! In the news 2006-08 Career Coaching, Nursery World Magazine, NEW monthly feature June 2008 - Tina has been asked to write an additional column providing guiding advice and tips on career development topics to the Early Years workforce. Europe Conference, EU Connects, Birmingham Council House 15th May 2008 - Tina and Paul were asked to give a key note presentation at the West Midlands Europe Day event. Delegates were interested in our story of progression to European work and our Autumn EU project. Work Matters, Nursery World Magazine, Monthly Feature 2007-2008 - Tina Jefferies, our Founder and Chief Executive, writes a monthly careers page 'Where do i go from here?' profiling people working with children in different roles and settings and the future opportunities they may have. Early Years Educator (EYE) Magazine, Oct 2007 - The Red Space Company is quoted on its Workforce Health Check, coaching and training as a tool for reflective management, motivating and retaining staff. Advantage West Midlands, WM Regional Development Agency, March 2007 - The Red Space Company secures a capital investment grant for expansion.
